Series: Growing with the Lord

Action File

Daily Prayer

We are Part of God's Family

"How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every blessing in heaven because we belong to Christ. Long ago, even before he made the world, God chose us to be his very own, through what Christ would do for us; he decided then to make us holy in his eyes, without a single fault - we who stand before him covered with his love. His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by sending Jesus Christ to die for us. And he did this because he wanted to!" Ephesians 1:3-5 (Living Bible).

God is Ready to Hear Your Prayer

"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know" Jeremiah 33:3.

He has Given You an Open Heaven

"And so, dear brothers, now we may walk right into the very Holy of Holies where God is, because of the blood of Jesus. This is the fresh, new life-giving way which Christ has opened up for us by tearing the curtain - his human body - to let us into the holy presence of God. And since this great High Priest of ours rules over God's household, let us go right in, to God himself, with true hearts fully trusting him to receive us..." Hebrews 10:19-21 (Living Bible).

You are Invited to Come Boldly

"Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace - the throne of God's unmerited favour [to us sinners]; that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need - appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it" Hebrews 4:16 (Amp.).

Special Promises to
Those Who Pray

When You Pray Alone

"But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly" Matthew 6:6 (NKJV).

When Two Pray Together

Whenever Christians pray together in agreement, there is special authority. For example, Jesus gave a special promise for two believers joining together in prayer:

"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven" Matthew 18:19-20.

When the Fellowship of Believers Pray

If there is tremendous power when two people pray, what about the whole assembly of God's people praying in one accord?

"...they raised their voices together in pray to God. 'Sovereign Lord,' they said, "...consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to help and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.' After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly " Acts 4:24-31.

Spread the Word. Share these glorious truths of prayer
with your family, with your friends, and with other believers.
You can make a difference.
